My stay at the hotel was lovely, with a sea view, and the rooms were spotlessly clean. However, being at the front on the first floor, over the front door led to some disruptive nights with unexpected noise disturbances. The bed was comfortable, though.

The location was just as we like it, with a pleasant walk to the town center along the cliff top. The immediate access to good walking paths to the north of the town and the fantastic view out to sea and towards the Abbey were big pluses.

The dining experience was enjoyable, with a good start to the day. However, there could have been improvements in service as one of the staff members seemed rushed and abrupt.

I had a mixed experience at the Wheeldale. The room, although advertised as deluxe, was decent in size with a lovely view and had all the necessary amenities. The location was convenient for reaching Whitby quickly, but it felt more like a basic stopover than a luxurious hotel. The dining was good, with a nice view of the sea, although the coffee could have been better. The service was pleasant, and the seafront setting added a nice touch.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room size was great, and everything was very clean. The location was fantastic, just a 15-minute walk to Whitby town, although it was a bit too hot in the room at times. The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The dining options were good with a wide variety to choose from, though it was not included in the room price. Overall, a great place to stay with some minor issues to consider.
