My stay at the hotel was lovely, with a sea view, and the rooms were spotlessly clean. However, being at the front on the first floor, over the front door led to some disruptive nights with unexpected noise disturbances. The bed was comfortable, though.

The location was convenient for reaching Whitby quickly, but it felt more like a basic stopover than a luxurious hotel. The dining was good, with a nice view of the sea, although the coffee could have been better. The service was pleasant, and the seafront setting added a nice touch.
